HEBREW WORLD TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Windows instructions and System requirements: A Pentium processor With 16 MB of RAM, color monitor with 256 colors or more. Windows 95 or higher. A CD-ROM drive 6X speed or faster. No installation is needed to operate Hebrew world (except for "QuickTime"). See important note below. To start the program: Windows 95/98, NT Note: If you don't have "Quick Time" installed on your computer, you MUST install it from the CD before you can start the program. To install "Quick Time" do the following: 1. Insert "Hebrew World" CD-ROM into your CD tray. 2. In "My Computer" find and select the CD drive. It is normally drive "D" or "G." "Hebrew World" icon appears there now. 3. Right-click the CD icon and a pull down menu will appear. 4. Select "Install Quick Time" from the pulled down menu. 5. Follow the instructions on screen until "Quick Time" is installed. This is a one-time procedure. You will not need to repeat these steps again. To play the program now: double-click its icon. In the future, just insert the "Hebrew world" CD-ROM into the tray. The program will start running automatically. If you quit the program and want to return to it again, double-click on the "HWORLD" icon in "My Computer," and you're ready to restart. If you own an older computer you will need to call for an older version of HW. Sound Quality: You'll hear the sound of almost every Hebrew word that appears on the screen. To hear the sound, simply double-click the word or the number you want to hear. Hebrew World uses superb sound quality. To fully benefit from this quality, please wait one second before moving from one word to the next. If you move too fast, a Hebrew World note will appear and will ask you to wait until a sound has finished playing before clicking on another word or button. What to do when you see this note? First of all, don't worry - then click OK and slow down a little. We recommend that you find a good quality (not necessarily expensive) speaker set because of the importance of hearing the quality sounds that we have placed in this program. Important! Many of the high quality sounds in "Hebrew world" are recorded in a format called "QuickTime." This sound (and movie) format was developed by Apple computer Inc. It is vastly used in PC programs and on the web. If you don't have "QuickTime" installed in your system yet, Hebrew world will prompt you to install it as you start the program. It will also install it for you when you select "install QuickTime" from the pop-up menu under "run the program" (Right click the icon of Hebrew word to go to this menu). You can also install it at any other time by simply double-clicking the icon named "Qtinstal" on your "HebrewWorld" CD-ROM. Printing: You can print almost every Hebrew page that appears on your screen so that you can use a hard copy of the program. Before you start HW, make sure that you have chosen your printer and it is selected as the default printer in Windows. You won't be able to change printers while Hebrew World is running. To select a printer: go to "Control Panel" and open printers. Find and select your printer as the default printer. Macintosh instructions and System requirements: A Power Mac with 16 MB RAM available to the application and a 256 colors or better monitor. A 6X speed or faster CD-ROM drive. To start the program: double-click the "Hebrew World" player icon, and you're ready to start. No installation is needed to operate "Hebrew World." For printing on a Mac: see note above. |
